Question 1 of 1
Trying to be polite and waiting to be invited to join a signing group can result in an undesired reaction from Deaf people.
For example, situating yourself close-by but away from the signing group could give Deaf people the unintended impression that you are not really interested in interacting with them.
It takes confidence to ask to join a group of signers.
Do you think you are assertive and confident enough to do that at gatherings such as deaf coffee night or other social events geared toward all levels of signers?

This response will be reviewed and graded after submission.
